The Owners

Dan and Jamie Dycus are the proud owners of The Grounds Guys of Canton. CEO Dan may be the face of the company, but we all know who does the heavy lifting when it comes to the business. You will often find them working together to build and maintain the company. They started the company in 2003 with a little red truck in a single car garage and are consistently looking for ways to improve their customer’s experience. Dan and Jamie have two children; their daughter is enrolled in college and their son can be found working hard on the landscape crew.

Jackie Dycus-Fey

Office Administrator

Jackie Dycus is our newest office staff. Recently graduated from Kent State University, she chose to work in the family-run business with Dan and Jamie. She assists with customer accounts, manages sales, marketing, and human resources for our crews. She and her husband have been married for just over a year and are looking forward to the fun adventures ahead.

Justin Pennix

Account Manager

Justin is a vital part of our operation and has multiple responsibilities including Sales and Production Manager of The Grounds Guys of Canton. He started working on the crews in 2012 and has worked his way into management. Justin and his wife Samantha are blessed with a beautiful daughter. Growing up in the south Justin has brought many hobbies with him to Stark County including fishing, hunting, and anything to do with mud including trucks, 4 wheelers, and RC’s.

We have been very fortunate to have Justin a part of our team and the only issues we have is when him and Dan (owner) sneak away to go fishing instead of working!

Max Felter

Production Manager

We are grateful to say that Max has been with the company for over 9 years. He has worked his way up to a management position to work on and oversee our enhancement projects. In his own time, has his hands full with his four boys. His oldest can be seen on our crews in the summers to learn The Grounds Guys way.
